Job summary

Georgia Power is seeking an Organizational Learning Coordinator to lead the Event Learning process, analyze safety incidents, and manage action items across the organization. The role requires a strong background in Human Performance, safety, leadership, and collaborative problem-solving.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, engineering technology, safety management, or related field is plus.
• Five years of experience in transmission, distribution, system operations, engineering or safety.
• Experience in heavy industrial, power generation, papermill, petrochemical, or refinery will be considered.
• Experience facilitating Event Learnings, structured event analysis, or process improvement is preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead Event and Learning Processes: Coordinate event learning and conduct causal analysis of safety-related incidents and proactive learning efforts.
• Bridge communication between safety committees and the organizational learning team and facilitate sharing lessons learned.
• Guide teams in identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and disseminating learnings across departments.
• Oversee communication of findings and actions from local event learnings and assess broader applicability.
• Assist in designing and delivering interactive training modules and developing new learning frameworks.
• Promote a culture that values Human Performance and analyze past incidents to identify trends and causal factors.
