Job summary

Georgia Power is seeking an Organizational Learning Coordinator to lead the Event Learning process, perform causal analysis of safety incidents, and drive proactive improvement across the organization.

The role emphasizes Human Performance, training development, and cross-functional collaboration, with travel up to 75% and a mix of field and office work. You will report to the Organizational Learning Manager as part of the Safety & Health team.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, engineering technology, safety management, or related field is plus.
• Five years of experience in transmission, distribution, system operations, engineering or safety.
• Experience in heavy industrial, power generation, papermill, petrochemical, or refinery will also be considered.
• Experience facilitating Event Learnings, structured event analysis, or process improvement is preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate event learning and conduct causal analysis of safety-related incidents and proactive learning efforts.
• Facilitate the event learning process, from organizing meetings to preparing comprehensive reports with a focus on proactive management of critical risk.
• Bridge communication between safety committees and the organizational learning team.
• Guide teams in identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and facilitate sharing lessons learned.
• Oversee communication of findings and actions from local event learnings.
• Evaluate events for broader applicability and potential development into Operating Experience Alerts.
• Assist in designing and delivering interactive training modules.
• Support hands-on learning experiences and contribute to developing a new learning and coaching framework strategy.
• Promote a culture that values Human Performance.
• Conduct analyses of past incidents and near-misses to identify trends and causal factors.
• Facilitate cross-departmental collaboration to share insights and integrate best practices.
