Job summary

Hornblower Group is seeking a Cook to prepare food for events, including cutting, chopping and plating, while following prep lists and standard recipes. You will assist with processing deliveries and always maintain safe, sanitary workstations and equipment handling per company standards.

You must be able to lift and move heavy items, endure a warm environment, work nights, weekends, and major holidays, and provide strong customer service and teamwork in a fast-paced catering operation.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year kitchen experience preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Must be able to lift and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Prepare all food items using prep lists and standard recipes.
• Maintain accurate rotation of food to ensure top quality and freshness.
• Manage leftovers: cover, label, date and store per standards.
• Keep refrigerators and work areas clean and organized.
• Ensure stations are cleaned and sanitized at end of shift and equipment is cared for.
• Follow safety policies and report accidents.
• Support additional duties as assigned.
