Job summary

Legends is seeking a Cook responsible for food preparation, execution, and safe delivery to customer-facing staff for service. You will assist with deliveries, maintain FIFO, label items, rotate stock, and notify supervisors of expiry.

You must maintain sanitation, work well with a team, and adapt to a fast-paced venue schedule including nights and weekends. Starting pay is $20.00 per hour with opportunities to grow within Legends.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; culinary degree preferred.
• 2–4 years in a fast-paced restaurant, caterer or relevant food service.
• Proactive, self-motivated, organized and able to prioritize.
• Must be clean and follow sanitation procedures.
• Ability to work under pressure and adapt quickly.
• Punctual and dependable.
• Able to read and retain recipes and prep lists.

Responsibilities

• Assist in receiving and storing all food deliveries.
• Follows FIFO for receiving and storing food.
• Label and date all food items upon receiving; rotate product.
• Notify manager of any expired product.
• Maintain a friendly, professional demeanor at all times.
• Report for scheduled events and open/close duties.
• Carry out tasks using correct recipes and timelines.
• Maintain walk-in coolers, reach-ins, dry storage and work areas.
• Know the kitchen layout and direct staff/guests as needed.
• Work as a team with fellow associates and other service departments.
