Job summary

Honda Center is seeking a part-time Cook Assistant to support kitchen operations during Anaheim arena events. You will assist Chefs, follow recipes, and ensure safety and sanitation standards are met across all food stations.

The role is located in the Food & Beverage department and hours vary with the arena event schedule. The position emphasizes teamwork, reliability, and the ability to work flexible hours including nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• Ability to follow directions and recipes accurately.
• Strong knife skills and food prep abilities.
• Good verbal communication in a fast-paced kitchen.
• Able to stand for long periods and work a flexible schedule.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food according to current menu using recipes and production guidelines.
• Wash, cut, and prep vegetables, meats, and seafood as required.
• Bread items by dipping in crumbs, flour, or batter before cooking.
• Stir and monitor soups and sauces; weigh and measure ingredients.
• Maintain proper temperatures and FIFO labeling; monitor temps and logs daily.
• Identify presence of common allergens and follow AAM procedures for labeling.
• Assist with coordinating food service and guest interactions during events.
