Job summary

Butler's Pantry is seeking a Culinary Assistant to support chefs on-site at events, assist with prep, plating, and dish duties, and help load/unload equipment. The role emphasizes teamwork, fast pace, and delivering a positive guest experience through professional service and adaptability.

Candidates should have 6 months to 1 year of relevant experience, reliable transportation, and be comfortable standing long periods; hepatitis A vaccination is required.

Qualifications

• 6 months to 1 year industry-relevant experience preferred.
• Professional appearance and conduct.
• Ability to operate in a team environment and provide support to co-workers.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks at the same time.
• Mature judgment and ability to handle a fast pace environment in a professional manner.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule.
• Ability to work a sometimes physically demanding position that requires standing for long periods of time and ability to lift heavy loads.
• Reliable transportation.
• Hepatitis A Vaccination Required.

Responsibilities

• Work as an extension of the Chef onsite at the event, taking direction as given.
• Assist in the unloading and loading of the truck at the event, following proper procedures.
• Assist with duties such as prep, plate up, and dish.
• Maintain focus on assignment at all times in an effort to maximize efficiency, quality and productivity.
• Maintain a positive and professional attitude being mindful that competent and quick service help to create a positive overall event experience.
• Handle requests, issues and complaints in a timely fashion to ensure guest satisfaction; involve Chef first, then Service Captain when appropriate.
• Strive to provide all guests with a positive lasting experience.
