Job summary

Aramark at the University of Iowa Stadium/Arena is seeking an IT Supervisor to lead on-site technical support during events and supervise a small IT team of part-time staff. You will manage POS hardware, troubleshoot network and device issues, coordinate with concessions and catering, and ensure safe, secure, and efficient operation throughout events, with a focus on uptime and customer service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1–2 years experience supporting POS systems, hardware troubleshooting, or IT helpdesk work preferred.
• Experience in stadium, arena, restaurant, retail, or high-volume hospitality environment a plus.

Responsibilities

• Stage, charge, configure, and test POS terminals, handheld devices, card readers, and printers prior to each event.
• Verify menu items, pricing, and system updates have synced across all POS stations.
• Confirm network connectivity for all point-of-sale locations (Wi-Fi/hardwired).
• Troubleshoot and resolve device issues identified during pre-event checks.
• Coordinate with concessions, catering, and retail managers to confirm device counts and stand assignments.
• Event-Day Support: serve as the primary on-site technical point of contact for POS issues; respond to outages and errors; monitor transaction flow; swap in backup devices; assist cashiers.
• Post-Event Breakdown: collect and charge devices; conduct inventory; log recurring issues.
• General: supervise part-time IT staff, maintain device inventory and logs, follow safety and loss-prevention procedures.
