Job summary

Hyatt Regency Coral Gables is seeking a Houseperson – Events to support seamless events. You will set up and break down banquet spaces, arrange tables, chairs, linens, and décor, and keep spaces clean and organized.

You will assist banquet servers and supervisors with resets and event flow, handle equipment safely, respond to guest requests, and help create a welcoming, polished environment for every event. Previous banquet or hospitality experience is a plus, but not required.

Qualifications

• A positive, team-oriented attitude and strong work ethic.
• Ability to lift, move, and transport equipment (often 50+ lbs) throughout the shift.
• Comfort working on your feet for extended periods.
• Flexibility to work varying schedules, including early mornings, late evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Previous banquet, event, or hospitality experience is a plus — but not required.

Responsibilities

• Set up and break down banquet rooms per event orders, including tables, chairs, staging, linens, and décor.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of all banquet spaces, storage areas, and equipment.
• Assist banquet servers and supervisors with room resets, service needs, and event flow.
• Ensure all equipment is handled safely and properly stored.
• Respond quickly and professionally to guest and team requests.
• Support the banquet team in creating a welcoming, polished, and efficient environment for every event.
