Job summary

Loews Coral Gables Hotel seeks a Banquet Houseperson to support seamless event setups for weddings, meetings and social functions. You will execute room setups, arrange tables and chairs, and maintain banquet spaces for guest-ready experiences.

Candidates should have at least one year of experience in a mid-high-volume banquet or upscale hotel, and be able to lift 100 pounds, stand and move equipment. Flexible schedules including nights and weekends are required; veterans and military spouses

Qualifications

• One year experience in a mid-high-volume banquet and/or restaurant within an upscale hotel or restaurant.
• Ability to stand, walk, reach, stoop, bend and lift 100+ pounds repetitively.
• Flexibility to work varying shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Execute room setups and breakdowns based on Banquet Event Orders (BEOs).
• Place furniture and equipment safely for events such as weddings, meetings and social functions.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in banquet and storage areas.
