Job summary

KC Live! in Kansas City is seeking Event Staff to greet guests, assist at entrances, verify tickets, and help guests with directions and questions during events.

The role requires 18+, ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 25 lbs, and work nights/weekends/holidays. Cash handling experience and fluent English are preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Must be able to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Must stand and walk for 8+ hours.
• Must be able to carry / lift items weighing up to 25 lbs.
• At least one year of cash handling experience.
• Must communicate in a professional and effective manner in a dynamic guest service environment.
• Must speak fluent English; other languages preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests at entrances with a smile and provide assistance throughout the venue.
• Scan tickets or passes to verify authenticity.
• Assist guests with questions including directions around the venue and performance information.
• May assist in verifying staff credentials to restricted areas.
• Work with fellow staff members to prepare, set up, and breakdown events.
• Additional tasks as requested by management.
• Carry or lift items weighing up to 25 pounds.
• Stay at entrances/exits for long periods and move safely around the venue.
• Communicate effectively with guests, employees and third parties.
• Read identifications and perform basic math as needed.
• May be required to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays.
