Job summary

Byron Public Schools in California is seeking a dedicated Facility Monitor/Event Supervisor to help maintain a safe, clean, and orderly venue during events and after hours. You will conduct pre-event checks, monitor activities, enforce rules, and coordinate with custodians.

This hourly role requires strong communication, decisive actions in emergencies, and basic knowledge of building systems. Applicants must be 18+ and eligible for ESST benefits. Training provided.

Qualifications

• Clear communication and rule enforcement.
• Ability to make quick decisions during emergencies.
• Familiarity with building systems or willingness to learn.
• Willingness to perform basic custodial tasks.

Responsibilities

• Phase 1: Pre-Event – Arrival check-in, walkthrough, access, renter check-in, safety brief.
• Phase 2: During the Event – Patrol perimeter every 30 minutes, monitor activities, keep coffee out of gym, stay visible at base.
• Phase 3: Post-Event – Cleanup, damage check with photos, ensure exit and secure doors.
