Job summary

The Freeman Company, part of Event & Exhibit Services, seeks an estimator to prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates for event and exhibit production. You will review specifications, drawings, and vendor quotes to define scope and cost.

Based in Atlanta or nearby, this role supports the Event & Exhibit Services team on a hybrid schedule, with 2–3 days in-office/show-site. Strong analytical, communication, and negotiation skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in cost estimation for events/exhibits.
• Strong analytical and mathematical skills.
• Proficiency in estimation software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specs.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Basic understanding of workplace safety practices (OSHA).
• Commitment to safety and positive safety culture.

Responsibilities

• Cost Estimation: prepare detailed estimates for event and exhibit production.
• Project Analysis: review specs and drawings to define scope.
• Vendor Coordination: obtain quotes and ensure competitive pricing.
• Budget Management: assist in developing and managing budgets.
• Risk Assessment: identify risks and include contingencies.
• Client Interaction: work with growth teams for timely estimates.
• Documentation: maintain records of estimates and methodologies.
• Continuous Improvement: stay updated on industry trends and materials.
• Safety: adhere to safety policies and participate in trainings.
