Job summary

The University of Illinois Foundation, located in Champaign, IL, seeks an Event Engagement Coordinator to support the execution of donor engagement events and plan experiences for internal and external audiences.

Role involves logistical support for UIF meetings, coordination with partners, and space use at the Philanthropy Center, with some after-hours work and travel. Hybrid schedule with remote work options is offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Proven interest in philanthropy and belief in the work and mission of the UI Foundation.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment with changing priorities and deadlines.
• Excellent communication (verbal and written), interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Strong ability to be personable and professional with a wide range of constituents.
• Ability to lift 30 pounds.
• Proficiency in MS Office and the propensity to become proficient in Blackbaud (or equivalent CRM system) and related technical systems.
• Exhibits development program values of integrity, civility, collaboration, innovation and impact.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate events related to board and donor engagement, including pre-event preparations, on-site staffing, and post-event follow-up.
• Provide logistical support to internal and external UIF partners in event and meeting management including planning, vendor contacting and management, coordination of logistical arrangements, budget review.
• Coordinate space use in the Philanthropy Center with policy adherence and partner coordination.
• Maintain knowledge of UIF data system and coordinate projects affecting events components.
• Support Board-related and advancement events, communications, and programs with occasional evening and weekend travel.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Manager of Event Engagement.
