Job summary

UNIVERSITY OF ILLINOIS FOUNDATION seeks an Event Engagement Coordinator in Champaign, IL to support board and donor engagement events, coordinating pre-event tasks, on-site staffing, and post-event follow-up.

The role requires strong communication, teamwork, and proficiency with MS Office and CRM systems; occasional travel and a hybrid work schedule are expected. Salary ranges from $52,000 to $58,000 per year.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Interest in philanthropy and support of UI Foundation mission.
• Ability to work in fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Able to lift 30 pounds.
• Proficiency with MS Office; willingness to learn Blackbaud or equivalent CRM.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate events for board and donor engagement, including pre-event, on-site staffing and post-event follow-up.
• Provide logistical support for event management, vendor coordination and budget review.
• Manage space requests in Philanthropy Center and coordinate with internal and external partners.
• Maintain knowledge of the Foundation’s data systems impacting event engagement.
• Support Board-related and advancement events; some evenings, weekends and travel may be required.
