Job summary

The Chicago Forum at the University of Chicago seeks an Events Manager to drive and oversee events coordination in a fast-paced environment. This role reports to the Senior Director of Programs and requires leadership in planning, vendor management, and on-site production for in-person, hybrid, and virtual events.

You will develop timelines, manage budgets, coordinate venues, AV, catering, and transportation, and collaborate with campus partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• 2–5 years of work experience in event logistics.
• Experience coordinating conferences, workshops, or public forums.

Responsibilities

• Manage and execute event logistics for in-person, hybrid, and virtual events.
• Develop planning timelines and ensure that every task is completed for each event.
• Coordinate and oversee all logistics including venue research, security, catering, transportation, decor, audio-visual, and custodial services.
• Lead on-site event production and work with vendors and campus partners to execute each event.
