Job summary

Oak View Group in Pasadena, CA seeks a part-time Steward to maintain kitchen cleanliness and support event prep for the Pasadena Convention Center.

The role involves dishwashing, pot/pan cleaning, waste disposal, and following HACCP standards. You will work in a fast-paced, team-driven environment and be available for events as needed.

Hourly pay is $20.00-$22.00, with benefits including a 401(k) plan and matching. Open until November 6, 2026.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a steward or dishwasher is helpful but not required.
• High school diploma or GED is preferred.
• Have a passion for hospitality.
• Ability to work in a team-oriented, fast-paced, event-driven environment.
• Working knowledge of all applicable sanitation requirements.
• Proven ability to understand directions.
• Ability to adapt to production requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assist in inventory management, restocking supplies when necessary.
• Dispose of waste according to procedures.
• Clean all pots and pans and maintain kitchens and stewarding areas.
• Follow food safety and HACCP regulations.
• Maintain cleanliness of equipment and surfaces.
• Wash dishes and manage dishwashing workflow.
• Polish silverware and maintain sanitation standards.
• Ensure compliance with safety procedures.
