Job summary

Fooda is seeking a part-time Event Coordinator in Chicago to support on-site events, set-up, tear-down, and guest experience during lunch hours. You will gain proficiency with Fooda’s technology and contribute to delivering high-quality service.

Responsibilities include resolving order issues, assisting with POS and on-site tech, and coaching app usage while collaborating with local restaurants. Flexible 5–25 hours/week during regular business hours.

Qualifications

• Hospitality or events background preferred.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Familiarity with food service operations is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Learn Fooda technology and SOPs.
• Resolve issues like incorrect orders, late deliveries, or miscommunication.
• Troubleshoot POS, onsite tech, and TV menus.
• Conduct onsite promotions and app coaching.
• Provide real-time customer service to resolve issues.
• Escalate issues to Operations Manager when needed.
• Work hours primarily during lunch, with possible 8am-4pm shifts.

Fooda is currentlyrecruiting for a part timeEvent Coordinator in our Chicago market.This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with a hospitality or events background who are eager to learn about food service, work with great customers, and support a broad network of excellent local restaurants.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Support Fooda events in a variety of capacities, including: being onsite to set-up, tear down, clean equipment and site areas, problem-solve, and ensure high quality set-up and customer experience
• Gain competency with Fooda’s technology and standard operations procedures
• Problem-solve for issues such as incorrect orders, late deliveries, late restaurant arrivals, or incorrect email communication
• Troubleshoot technical issues with point-of-sale (POS) system, onsite technology, and TV menu boards
• Conduct onsite Fooda promotions and mobile app coaching
• Provide real-time onsite customer service to resolve issues promptly directly with the consumer
• Facilitate audits of restaurant event set-up to ensure consistency and high quality
• Escalate issues to Operations Manager when necessary to keep them informed or help problem solve
• Critical hours are over lunch Monday - Thursday(10:30 am – 1:30pm) but responsibilities may span 8am-4pm, depending on the market and need

• You’re someone who knows the local territory and gets around efficiently in your own car
• You’re looking for a steady part-time job (between 5 - 25 hours per week) during regular business hours and value flexibility
• Prior catering or serving experience strongly preferred
