Fooda, Inc. is seeking a part-time Event Coordinator for the Chicago market to support on-site events, manage setup and tear down, and ensure an excellent customer experience.

You will troubleshoot POS and TV menu boards, coach users of the mobile app, and provide real-time service during lunch peak. Ideal candidates have hospitality or events background, are tech-savvy, and comfortable in a fast-paced startup environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in hospitality or events is preferred.
• Able to work 5–25 hours per week, with lunch-hour emphasis.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• On-site setup, tear down, cleaning equipment and site areas, and ensuring a quality customer experience.
• Learn Fooda technology and standard operating procedures.
• Troubleshoot issues such as incorrect orders, late deliveries, or miscommunication.
• Resolve issues with POS, onsite technology, and TV menu boards in real time.
• Promote Fooda promotions and coach users of the mobile app.
• Provide real-time customer service and escalate issues to Operations when needed.
• Support audits of restaurant event setups for consistency and quality.
• Hours primarily during lunch (Mon–Fri 10:30 am–1:30 pm); may vary 8 am–4 pm by market.

Fooda is currently recruiting for a part time Event Coordinator in our Chicago market.This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with a hospitality or events background who are eager to learn about food service, work with great customers, and support a broad network of excellent local restaurants.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Support Fooda events in a variety of capacities, including: being onsite to set-up, tear down, clean equipment and site areas, problem-solve, and ensure high quality set-up and customer experience
• Gain competency with Fooda’s technology and standard operations procedures
• Problem-solve for issues such as incorrect orders, late deliveries, late restaurant arrivals, or incorrect email communication
• Troubleshoot technical issues with point-of-sale (POS) system, onsite technology, and TV menu boards
• Conduct onsite Fooda promotions and mobile app coaching
• Provide real-time onsite customer service to resolve issues promptly directly with the consumer
• Facilitate audits of restaurant event set-up to ensure consistency and high quality
• Escalate issues to Operations Manager when necessary to keep them informed or help problem solve
• Critical hours are over lunch Monday - Friday(10:30 am – 1:30pm) but responsibilities may span 8am-4pm, depending on the market and need

• You are organized and detail oriented. Type-A personality is a plus!
• You’re someone who knows the local territory and gets around efficiently in your own car
• You’re looking for a steady part-time job (between 5 - 25 hours per week) during regular business hours and value flexibility
• Prior catering or serving experience strongly preferred
