Fooda seeks a part-time Event Coordinator to support onsite food events, set-up, tear-down, and guest service in the Chicago market. You’ll work closely with local restaurants and Fooda technology to ensure smooth operations during lunch events.

Ideal candidates have hospitality or events experience, are tech‑savvy, and can handle fast-paced environments. Flexible hours (roughly 10:30 am–1:30 pm peak) and driving locally are required.

Responsibilities

• Onsite setup and teardown for events and clean equipment.
• Provide real-time customer service to resolve issues.
• Troubleshoot POS and onsite technology as needed.
• Conduct onsite promotions and app coaching.
• Maintain high-quality event setup and customer experience.
• Escalate issues to Operations Manager when necessary.
• Flexible hours with peak coverage during lunch (10:30 am–1:30 pm).

Fooda is currently recruiting for a part time Event Coordinator in our Chicago market.This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with a hospitality or events background who are eager to learn about food service, work with great customers, and support a broad network of excellent local restaurants.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Support Fooda events in a variety of capacities, including: being onsite to set-up, tear down, clean equipment and site areas, problem-solve, and ensure high quality set-up and customer experience
• Gain competency with Fooda’s technology and standard operations procedures
• Problem-solve for issues such as incorrect orders, late deliveries, late restaurant arrivals, or incorrect email communication
• Troubleshoot technical issues with point-of-sale (POS) system, onsite technology, and TV menu boards
• Conduct onsite Fooda promotions and mobile app coaching
• Provide real-time onsite customer service to resolve issues promptly directly with the consumer
• Facilitate audits of restaurant event set-up to ensure consistency and high quality
• Escalate issues to Operations Manager when necessary to keep them informed or help problem solve
• Critical hours are over lunch Monday - Friday(10:30 am – 1:30pm) but responsibilities may span 8am-4pm, depending on the market and need

• You are resourceful, exhibit grace under pressure, and know you’re capable of finding solutions
• You are a strong communicator and self-starter
• You are organized and detail oriented. Type-A personality is a plus!
• You’re someone who knows the local territory and gets around efficiently in your own car
• You’re looking for a steady part-time job (between 5 - 25 hours per week) during regular business hours and value flexibility
• Prior catering or serving experience strongly preferred
