Job summary

Sodexo is seeking a Concessions Worker to support high-volume, event-based concessions at the SOUTH DAKOTA SCHOOL OF MINES AND TECHNOLOGY. You will prepare, stock, and serve food and beverages, ensuring speed, accuracy, and cleanliness in dynamic live-event environments.

You will work across concessions formats, from permanent stands to pop-up sites, with training and opportunities for advancement, benefits, and a flexible schedule. Prior food service or customer service experience is valued.

Qualifications

• High School diploma, GED, or equivalent experience preferred.
• Prior concessions, food service, or customer service experience preferred.
• Must meet minimum age requirements to serve alcohol.
• Must maintain a valid TIPS or TEAM or equivalent alcohol-service certification.
• A Food Handler certification may be required based on state or local regulations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, assemble, and serve concession food and beverage items according to established recipes, portion standards, and concessions procedures.
• Assist with opening and closing concession locations, including setup, breakdown, and cleanup.
• Operate basic food service equipment such as warmers, grills, fryers, or beverage dispensers as assigned.
• Ability to frequently lift and move up to 35 pounds and occasionally up to 40 pounds.
• Attends work and shows for scheduled shift on time with satisfactory regularity
• Other duties may be assigned and can differ among accounts, depending on business necessities and client requirements.
