Job summary

Tokyo Electron U.S. Holdings is seeking an event specialist / community engagement contractor to support the Marketing and Communications Department’s Events Team.

The role reports to the Events Manager and will alternate between events and community engagement activities, including TEL FOR GOOD initiatives across the U.S. Ideal candidates will have strong written and verbal communication, solid interpersonal skills, and the ability to multitask across concurrent events while coordinating with

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Project Management, or related field preferred.
  • 2+ years in marketing coordination, event planning, community engagement or similar roles.
  • Proven experience in conference and event marketing.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong collaboration and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to multi-task is critical to success.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and marketing software/tools.
  • Familiarity with Monday.com or other program management tools.
  • Experience with budget management and vendor negotiations with some financial acumen.
  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds.
  • Some domestic travel (10-15%).
  • Hybrid work model requires at least 3 days a week in our new downtown Austin office.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and organize internal and external events assigned, both locally and around the U.S., including budgets and vendor relations.
  • Establish timelines for contracts, payments, marketing material, catering, and supplies.
  • Execute the plan and provide event data and reports as required.
  • Communicate with clients, vendors, team members, and management on event details and progress.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction by offering needed service to event participants.
  • Develop and manage a calendar of Community Engagement activities across the US.
  • Lead efforts to drive awareness and volunteering for engagement events.
  • Supervise the Community Engagement budget and ROI measurement.
  • Engage with community engagement leaders and teams regularly.
  • Coordinate with Corporate Sustainability and share program updates with Communications for social media and internal communications.
  • Act as administrator of the Benevity TEL FOR GOOD platform.
  • Organize TEL FOR GOOD committee meetings on a regular schedule.

Job Description
  • This is a full-time Contractor position**

Tokyo Electron U.S. Holdings is searching for an event specialist / community engagement contractor to assist our Marketing and Communications Department’s Events Team. The position will report into the Events Manager.

This person should have strong communication skills, both written and oral, as well as strong interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with multiple members associated with the events and activities.

This role will flex between events and community engagement activities.

Typical events planned by the team are exhibits at tradeshows (such as SEMICON) and external technical and business conferences, internal conferences, award ceremonies and dinners, senior management meetings, and employee meetings.

As multiple events are being planned concurrently, the event specialist should be able to multitask and prioritize across multiple events to meet deadlines and event milestones.

Community engagement will be working with the TEL FOR GOOD program, including the supervision of volunteer activities, the community engagement budget, and our Corporate Donation and Match program.

Responsibilities
  • Plan and organize internal and external events assigned, both locally and around the U.S. This includes:
    • Creating, implementing and controlling event budgets.
    • Establishing relationships with vendors and suppliers for events. Typical examples would be caterers, venue owners, as well as industry organizations (e.g. hotels, restaurants, industry sponsorships).
    • Establishing detailed timelines and deadlines for items such as: contracts, payments, marketing material preparation, catering arrangements, procurement of needed supplies, and other event specific needs.
    • Executing the plan and providing event data and reports as required.
  • Effective communication with all parties including, clients, vendors, team members, manager, etc. on details and progress of events.
  • Ensure customer (event owner/sponsor) satisfaction by offering needed service and assistance to event participants.
  • Develop and manage a calendar of Community Engagement activities across the US.
  • Lead the effort to drive awareness and volunteering for engagement events
  • Supervise the Community Engagement budget
  • Drive activity around capturing the ROI of engagement relationships.
  • Regularly engage with community engagement leaders and teams
  • Close coordination with the Corporate Sustainability team
  • Share program updates with Communications Team for social media, and internal communications
  • Act as administrator of the Benevity TEL FOR GOOD platform
  • Organize regularly scheduled TEL FOR GOOD committee meetings.
Qualifications And Requirements
