The City of Allen is seeking a Finance Analyst to support the financial operations of the Credit Union of Texas Event Center. The role analyzes event data, reconciles revenues and expenses, and prepares financial reports to guide budgeting and decision-making.

Responsibilities include budget planning, revenue tracking, invoice reviews, and collaboration with internal departments. This full-time, benefits-eligible position requires a bachelor’s degree and public sector finance knowledge.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field with 1 year of relevant experience.
• Knowledge of public sector financial operations and reporting standards.
• Proficiency in Excel and financial reporting tools.

Responsibilities

• Supports budget development and financial planning with the Finance Department.
• Prepares and reconciles event settlements; analyzes income and expenses.
• Creates and maintains financial spreadsheets for profitability analysis.
• Reconciles sales and deposits and ensures accurate revenue allocation.
• Reviews and approves invoices with correct general ledger coding.
• Tracks sponsorship and premium revenues and calculates commissions.
• Coordinates with internal/external partners; supports audits.
• Trains staff in financial processes and fosters knowledge sharing.
• Resolves financial discrepancies with vendors and clients.
