Job summary

Trolley Hospitality Companies, via its Groovin' Gourmets catering division, is seeking a part-time Sales Event Coordinator to support corporate functions, weddings, and social events in the Hampton Roads area. You will lead event teams, ensure seamless service, and maintain strong client communication to deliver happiness for guests and hosts.

The role involves hands-on event setup, transportation of materials, and managing shifts that can include nights and weekends.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Safely transport food, drinks, and equipment to event venues.

How You Will Make an Impact:

• Safely transport of food, drinks, and equipment to the event venue.
• Manage all aspects of the event including set-up, serving meals and beverages, and take-down.
• Carry out the Sales Event Coordinator's plan for the event and adapt to different venues when setting up and organizing service flow.
• Lead a team of co-captains, servers, and bartenders.
• Maintain good communication with the event host.
• Be resourceful and proactive in dealing with issues that may arise.
• Create an environment that supports and develops the members of your team.
• Be able to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends.

What You Bring to the Table:

• 1-2 years of catering or banquet leadership experience
• Valid Driver's License and 3+ years of safe driving experience
• Comfortable driving a 16' box truck and able to climb in and out of vehicle
• Experience leading a team, whether in food service or other industry
• Excellent communication ability, both verbal and written
• Positive and empowering interpersonal skills
• Physical stamina to work long hours (must be able to lift 50 pounds)
