Job summary

Gourmet Gang, the deli division of Trolley Hospitality Companies, is hiring a part-time Deli Associate at our Lynnhaven location in Virginia Beach. You will perform salad and sandwich prep, greet customers, take orders, handle phone calls, and support various duties to ensure smooth daily operations.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience, preferably in a food service setting.
• Food prep experience.
• Experience running a cash register a plus.
• Able to follow directions and work independently.
• Effective verbal communication skills.
• Reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Salad & Sandwich Prep: Prepare menu items while maintaining food quality and freshness.
• Customer Service/Cashier: Greet customers, take orders, operate the register, and process payments.
• Customer Service/Phones: Answer calls, take phone orders, and assist customers.
• Expediting: Check orders for accuracy, package items, and ensure timely service.
• All Staff: Assist with opening and closing duties, including washing dishes, mopping, taking out trash, restocking restroom supplies, and completing other assigned tasks.

Schedules available for Monday thru Friday between 9am to 2:00pm One Night Shift needed per week & Routating Saturday shift

How You Will Make an Impact:

We are looking for a dependable, team-oriented Deli Associate to join our Lynnhaven team! Depending on your assigned station, responsibilities may include:

• Salad & Sandwich Prep: Prepare menu items while maintaining food quality and freshness.
• Customer Service/Cashier: Greet customers, take orders, operate the register, and process payments.
• Customer Service/Phones: Answer calls, take phone orders, and assist customers.
• Expediting: Check orders for accuracy, package items, and ensure timely service.
• All Staff: Assist with opening and closing duties, including washing dishes, mopping, taking out trash, restocking restroom supplies, and completing other assigned tasks.

All team members are expected to maintain a clean and organized workspace, provide excellent customer service, and support other stations as needed to ensure smooth daily operations.

What You Bring to the Table:

• Customer service experience, preferably in a food service setting
• Food prep experience
• Experience running a cash register a plus
• Able to follow directions and work independently
• Effective verbal communication skills
• Reliable transportation

• Base pay $14-15/hr with tip pool averages between $16-18/hr
