Job summary

Trolley Hospitality Companies is seeking a Part-Time Warehouse Associate to support catering events in the Norfolk area. You will organize and stage supplies, load loads, and assist with minor event setup. The role offers weekend availability and potential for full-time advancement.

Qualifications

• Warehouse or similar experience preferred.
• Catering, event or hospitality background a plus.

Responsibilities

• Organize and stage supplies and equipment for catering events.
• Load box trucks and vans with staged supplies, ensuring correct items and secure loading.
• Communicate with service and sales departments on supply issues and coordinate substitutions.
• Return items from events, ensure cleanliness and proper order, and return to warehouse.
• Maintain order and cleanliness in the warehouse and proper storage of equipment.
• Handle miscellaneous tasks such as picking up linens, fueling trucks, and last-minute supply runs.
• Occasionally deliver simple catering orders to locations and assist with minor event setup.

How You'll Make an Impact:

• Organize and stage supplies and equipment for catering events
• Load box trucks and vans with staged supplies, ensuring that the correct items are loaded and properly secured
• Communicate with the service and sales departments on supply issues and coordinate substitutions
• Confirm that returning items from events are clean and in good working order and return them to the warehouse
• Maintain order and cleanliness in the warehouse, ensuring that equipment is protected and stored properly
• Be the go-to for miscellaneous needs such as picking up linens at the dry cleaners, filling up gas in trucks, picking up last minute supplies at the grocery store, or even making emergency supply runs to events
• On occasion, deliver simple catering orders to a location, which sometimes requires minor event setup

What You Bring to the Table:

• Warehouse or similar experience preferred
• Previous catering, event, or hospitality background a plus
• Knowledge of catering terminology a plus
• Able to frequently bend, stoop and lift (up to 50lbs)
• Experience using hand trucks or pallet jacks
• Valid driver's license and a clean driving record
• Available weekends
