Job summary

Sodexo is hiring a Banquet Server in New Orleans at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center. You will provide food and beverage services for catered events, including meetings, receptions, luncheons, and dinners.

Service ranges from casual buffets to formal plated meals and passed service. You will work under the Banquet Captain/Supervisor, participate in event setup, service execution, and breakdown, and adapt to event size and client needs.

Qualifications

• Prior banquet, catering, food service, or hospitality experience preferred.
• Must meet minimum age requirements to serve alcohol per regulations.
• Must hold a valid TIPS or equivalent alcohol-service certification and comply with state requirements.
• A food handler certification may be required depending on local regulations.

Responsibilities

• Provide food and beverage services to guests at catered events (meetings, receptions, luncheons, dinners, special functions).
• Support service styles from casual buffets to formal plated meals and passed service.
• Assist with event setup, service execution, and breakdown under supervision.
• Maintain cleanliness and presentation standards at tables and service stations.
• Be punctual for scheduled shifts and adapt to varying shifts.
