Job summary

Sodexo is seeking a part-time Banquet Server at Illinois State University to deliver food and beverage service for catered events. You will work across a range of service styles, from buffets to plated meals, supporting setup, service, and breakdown with a focus on guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Experience in banquet, catering, food service, or hospitality preferred.
• Must meet minimum age requirements to serve alcohol per regulations.
• Valid alcohol-service certification (TIPS or equivalent) required where applicable.
• Food handler certification may be required depending on state/local rules.

Responsibilities

• Provide food and beverage services for catered events including meetings, luncheons, dinners, and functions.
• Assist with event setup, service execution, and breakdown under supervision.
• Maintain cleanliness of tables, stations, and work areas; reset settings as needed.
• Lift up to 35 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
