Job summary

AV Concepts seeks a Property Audio Visual Technician (Part Time) to support setup, operation, and breakdown of AV gear for meetings, conferences, and events. This role works under the DET and venue leadership, with duties ranging from equipment handling to client service across multiple venues.

The position is hourly, part-time, non-exempt, up to 30 hours/week, requiring strong customer service and the ability to work flexible event-based hours.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of audio-visual equipment or live event technology preferred.
• Previous experience in events, hospitality, production, or technical support environments is beneficial.
• Ability to work effectively as part of an event production team.
• Strong reliability, communication, and customer service skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays based on event schedules.
• Footwear meeting ASTM F2413 standards.

Responsibilities

• Assist with setup, testing, and breakdown of AV equipment for meetings, conferences, and events.
• Prepare meeting rooms and spaces according to event orders and technical requirements.
• Operate AV systems during events including microphones and presentation switching.
• Assist presenters with laptop connections and presentation setup.
• Transport and organize equipment; ensure cable management and safety.
