Job summary

Washington County Dixie Center is hiring an AV Technician to set up, operate, and maintain audio-visual equipment for events and conferences. The role involves assisting clients and staff, supporting virtual/hybrid events, and ensuring smooth execution of programs with reliable AV systems.

The position requires about one year of related AV coursework or hands-on experience, with certifications and networking knowledge preferred. Flexible hours and safety-conscious operations are expected.

Qualifications

• One year of college coursework related to AV technology OR equivalent experience.
• One year of hands-on AV experience in event, meeting, or conference settings.
• Or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and take down microphones, speakers, projectors, video displays, lighting, and other AV equipment.
• Monitor audio and video during events to ensure quality and reliability.
• Troubleshoot technical issues and provide real-time support during events.
• Assist clients, presenters, and event staff with AV equipment and technology.
• Support virtual and hybrid events using Zoom and Microsoft Teams.
• Maintain AV equipment, wiring, inventory, and system configurations.
• Perform basic rigging and low-voltage wiring tasks following safety standards.
• Operate forklifts and other equipment as needed for event setup and transportation.
