Job summary

Washington County is seeking a technically skilled AV Technician to support the Dixie Center for events, meetings, and conferences. The role involves setting up, operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting audio-visual equipment to ensure events run smoothly.

The position requires flexibility for early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays based on event schedules, with full-time hours and benefits. Experience with Zoom and Microsoft Teams is preferred, along with safety-conscious rigging

Qualifications

• One year of college coursework related to AV technology, broadcasting, electronics, or a related field.
• One year of hands-on AV experience in event, entertainment, or conference settings.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience accepted.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and take down microphones, speakers, projectors, video displays, lighting, and other AV equipment.
• Monitor audio and video during events to ensure quality and reliability.
• Troubleshoot technical issues and provide real-time support during events.
• Assist clients, presenters, and event staff with AV equipment and technology.
• Support virtual and hybrid events using platforms such as Zoom and Microsoft Teams.
• Maintain AV equipment, wiring, inventory, and system configurations.
• Perform basic rigging and low-voltage wiring tasks while following safety standards.
• Operate forklifts and other equipment as needed for event setup and transportation.
