DICK’S Sporting Goods is seeking an Event Associate to support in-store sport events and sponsor-driven programs. You will deliver tailored product recommendations that fit each athlete’s skill level, while collaborating with the Field Lead/Coach to run safe and engaging field programming.

You’ll help build community partnerships, train teammates, and promote store programs and promotions in a fast-paced environment. This role emphasizes customer focus and field event execution.

Responsibilities

• Drive the highest level of customer service, delivering athlete-first service.
• Assist the Field Lead/Coach with field programming to ensure safe, fun participation.
• Build relationships with local schools, community organizations, and leagues for partnerships and events.
• Work with the Community Team to bring clinics, camps, and afterschool programming to the Field.
• Provide teammate training and coaching to deliver the store vision and experience.
• Adjust priorities and manage time in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
• Adhere to all loss prevention standards.
• Promote warranty sales, Scorecard loyalty program, and other promotions.
• Ensure product experts provide consultative advice to athletes.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by management

OVERVIEW:

The Event Associate will be expected to provide thoughtful product recommendations that fit

the skill/experience level of each athlete. As the Field Associate you’ll support the Field/Lead Coach

for our in-store sport events – both on and off the field. In addition to in-store events, you’ll have the

opportunity to assist the lead with DICK’S sponsored camps, clinics and programs – bringing your

passion and expertise for sports to our experiential store. The job duties and responsibilities of this

role include the following:

• Responsible for driving the highest level of customer service, ensuring our teammates aredriving the DICK’S common purpose and delivering hassle-free, engaging, athlete-first service.

• Assist the Field Lead/Coach with field programming, guiding our athletes to have fun andparticipate, safely.

• Build relationships with local schools, community organizations, sports leagues, home schoolorganizations, to leverage for partnerships and field events.

• Work with the Community Team to bring clinics, camps, afterschool programming, to theField.

• Assist with providing outstanding teammate training and coaching to deliver on the storevision and experience. This could include one-on-one teammate conversations, facilitatinggroup training sessions and conducting role play exercises.

• Adjust priorities and manage time wisely in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.

• Adhere to all loss prevention standards.

• Promote company programs including warranty sales, Scorecard (loyalty program), private-label credit cards, and other seasonal promotions.

• Bring to life the power of opinion. Making sure our experience includes product experts whoprovide consultative advice to our athletes, demonstrating excellent product knowledge.

• Perform other tasks as assigned by management

Targeted Pay Range: $16.00 - $23.00. Starting rate of pay may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, location, experience and position offered.
