Job summary

DICK'S Sporting Goods is seeking an Event Associate to support in-store sport events and sponsored camps. You will provide trusted product recommendations aligned with each athlete's skill level and help lead field programming with the Field Lead/Coach.

Responsibilities include delivering exceptional customer service, building community relationships, training teammates, and promoting store programs while maintaining safety and loss prevention standards.

• Promote programs including warranty sales, Scorecard loyalty, private-label cards, and seasonal promotions.
• Provide consultative product advice to athletes and demonstrate strong product knowledge.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by management.

OVERVIEW

The Event Associate will be expected to provide thoughtful product recommendations that fit the skill/experience level of each athlete. As the Field Associate you’ll support the Field/Lead Coach for our in-store sport events - both on and off the field. In addition to in-store events, you’ll have the opportunity to assist the lead with DICK’S sponsored camps, clinics and programs - bringing your passion and expertise for sports to our experiential store.

• Responsible for driving the highest level of customer service, ensuring our teammates are driving the DICK’S common purpose and delivering hassle-free, engaging, athlete-first service.
• Assist the Field Lead/Coach with field programming, guiding our athletes to have fun and participate, safely.
• Build relationships with local schools, community organizations, sports leagues, home school organizations, to leverage for partnerships and field events.
• Work with the Community Team to bring clinics, camps, afterschool programming, to the Field.
• Assist with providing outstanding teammate training and coaching to deliver on the store vision and experience. This could include one-on-one teammate conversations, facilitating group training sessions and conducting role play exercises.
• Adjust priorities and manage time wisely in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
• Adhere to all loss prevention standards.
• Promote company programs including warranty sales, Scorecard (loyalty program), private-label credit cards, and other seasonal promotions.
• Bring to life the power of opinion. Making sure our experience includes product experts who provide consultative advice to our athletes, demonstrating excellent product knowledge.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by management.

QUALIFICATIONS

Targeted Pay Range: $16.00 - $23.00. Starting rate of pay may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, location, experience and position offered. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location.
