Community Health Resources (CHR) is hiring a Part-time Residential Aide for Heartwood Home in Willimantic, CT. The role supports residents in a structured recovery environment, with scheduled hours, typically Thursday and Friday from 4 PM to 12:30 AM, and involves safety, daily living skills, and group activities.

Qualifications include a High School Diploma or equivalent, prior human services experience, and a valid driver’s license with CPR & First Aid certification (or ability to obtain

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in Human Services.
• Valid driver’s license with good driving record; CPR & First Aid Certification required or must obtain within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Maintains program environment to CHR, DMHAS, JCAHO and licensing standards.
• Monitors medications of residents according to the program policy.
• Effectively communicates day’s events to staff.
• Teaches residents in rehab topics: nutrition, healthy living, meal prep, hygiene, budgeting, home care skills.
• Prepares and facilitates educational and skill-building groups and individual interventions.
• Coordinates care with providers and families as needed.
• Maintains documentation in compliance with agency standards.
• Participates in staff meetings, trainings and supervision.
