Job summary

Endeavor Health’s Highland Park Hospital is seeking a Lead Public Safety Officer for an evening, full-time shift. You will supervise the security team, coordinate post assignments, and train new officers while ensuring safety and incident reporting.

CPR and firearms credentials may be required for the role. The position includes premium pay for shifts, opportunities for annual increases based on performance, and a comprehensive benefits package across health, dental, vision, and retirement

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) certification within six months of hire preferred.
• IAHSS Basic Healthcare Security Officer training within twelve months of hire recommended.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates knowledge to provide care appropriate to patient ages.
• In absence of Shift Supervisor, coordinates department staff and assigns posts.
• Trains and orients newly hired Security Officers on shift.
• Monitors Officers and directs activities; determines need for written incident reports.
• Assists Shift Supervisor in coordinating investigations with employees and law enforcement.
• Briefs Lead Officer on reports and pertinent information.
• Performs duties of Public Safety Officer.
