Job summary

Applewood Centers Inc. is hiring a Behavioral Health Respite Provider for youth ages 8-17 enrolled in OhioRise. The role offers evenings and weekends with about a 3-hour session per youth, in-home or community settings.

You’ll supervise activities and apply strategies to support social, emotional, and behavioral development. Responsibilities include coordinating with the treatment team, ensuring safety and confidentiality, and maintaining timely documentation while providing compassionate care

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; 3+ years in social services preferred.
• QMHS certification must be obtained before billing.
• Ability to work with diverse populations with complex needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide short-term direct care to youth in the OhioRise program.
• Maintain open communication with youth, family and treatment team.
• Provide timely updates on youth activities and concerns.
• Transport youth to community activities.
• Plan recreational, educational, and therapeutic activities.
• Maintain a safe, structured environment per care plan.
• Promote socialization and positive interactions.
• Collaborate with treatment team for continuity of care.
