Job summary

Applewood Centers in Ohio seeks a Behavioral Health (BH) Respite Provider for the OhioRise program. Each session lasts about 3 hours and can take place at home, in the community, or as a blend, with supervision and activities that support social, emotional, and behavioral development.

Evening and weekend hours apply when youth are out of school. Responsibilities include transportation, safety, and collaborating with the care team to align with the youth’s Care Plan.

Qualifications

• High school diploma and 3+ years in social services; bachelor’s preferred.
• QMHS certification required before billing.
• Ability to work with diverse populations and youth with mental health needs.
• Independent judgment, cultural competency, professional ethics, teamwork, and communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide short-term, direct care to youth in the OhioRise program.
• Maintain open communication with youth, family, and treatment team.
• Provide timely updates to family on youth activities and progress.
• Transport youth to community activities.
• Plan and participate in recreational, educational, and therapeutic activities.
• Maintain a safe, structured environment per care plan.
• Promote socialization and positive interactions.
• Collaborate with treatment team for continuity of care.
• Adhere to Agency quality and productivity standards.
• Follow safety protocols.
• Complete clinical documentation per licensing standards.
• Respect client privacy and confidentiality.
