Job summary

Applewood Centers Inc. seeks a part-time Behavioral Health Respite Provider to support youth ages 8-17 enrolled in the OhioRise program. Sessions last ~3 hours and can occur at home or in the community, evenings/weekends when youth are out of school.

You will supervise, engage and implement strategies to aid social, emotional, and behavioral development. Work hours primarily occur in the evenings and on weekends.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with 3+ years in social services.
• Bachelor’s in Social Work or similar is preferred.
• QMHS certification must be obtained before billing services.

Responsibilities

• Provide short-term, direct care to youth in the OhioRise program.
• Maintain open communication with youth, family and treatment team.
• Provide timely updates to family on youth activities and concerns.
• Arrange transportation to community activities for youth.
• Plan recreational, educational and therapeutic activities.
• Ensure a safe, structured environment per care plan.
• Promote socialization and positive interactions.
• Collaborate to ensure continuity with the youth Care Plan.
