Job summary

YMCA of Southern Maine is seeking a Child Watch Associate to supervise and engage children in the Prime-Time program, aligning with the YMCA’s core values. You will support safe, age-appropriate activities for children and families under the Youth Development Director’s guidance.

Qualifications

• 16 years of age or older.
• CPR/AED/First Aid certification required (YMCA will train)
• Criminal background check required prior to hire (paid by YMCA)
• Ability to complete all physical requirements with or without accommodation

Responsibilities

• Engages in activities consistent with YMCA mission, goals and objectives.
• Acts as a positive role model for children through good work habits and attitude.
• Maintains safety rules and adheres to YMCA policies.
• Monitors health and safety of children and keeps area clean and safe.
• Organizes activities and routines for easy transitions for children.
