Job summary

McLane Company, Inc. in Goodyear, AZ is hiring a Yardspotter. This role drives a tractor/yard truck, spots trailers, inspects units, and ensures secure loading for shipments. You may read bills of lading, do basic math, and assist with trailer prep.

The position offers full-time hours, day shifts, and benefits starting after 60 days. A high school diploma is preferred; CDL is not required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• No Class A CDL required.
• Ability to read and comprehend extensive written instructions.
• Able to understand equipment ID numbering system.
• Lift, carry, push, pull inside trailers.

Responsibilities

• Drive tractor or yard truck, attach trailer and secure it.
• Spot trailers to doors or lot locations and fuel equipment.
• Inspect trailers for defects and ensure refrigeration unit works.
• Back LTL or drop trailers into the receiving door.
• Read labels and bill of lading; perform basic quantity calculations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
