McLane Company, Inc. is seeking a Yard Driver (JR109877) to support trailer movement at the distribution center and assist with trailer preparation for shipping. The role emphasizes safety and reliability, with a pay rate of $25.25 per hour and benefits beginning after 60 days.

You will inspect trailers, ensure proper loading, and operate within yard limits, delivering products as ordered and following all regulations. This is a full-time, on-site position located in Minnesota.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 2 years related driving experience desired.
• 100,000-mile tractor-trailer experience desired.
• CDL Class A required.
• Accident-free driving record for past 3 years desired.
• Ability to read and comprehend labels, instructions, bill of lading.
• Ability to perform mathematical calculations to verify quantities.
• Ability to read, write, and understand English for job tasks.

Responsibilities

• Drive tractor, maneuver into position to attach trailer and secure lines.
• Spot and clean trailers to doors or lot locations.
• Inspect trailers for defects, pre/post trip and submit inspection report.
• Inspect loaded trailers to ensure product is secure and refrigeration unit functions.
• Drive tractor-trailer within yard and nearby areas following regulations.
• Meet the position's physical demands.
• Ability to load/unload and deliver all products as ordered.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
