Job summary

Glen Oaks Country Club seeks a Youth Activities Counselor to lead family-friendly events and youth programs, including set-up, activities, and supervision in a safe, friendly environment.

Youth counselors will greet guests, assist with sign-in, and coordinate activities such as pool games, camps, and holiday events while ensuring children’s safety and wellbeing. This position supports a lively club community and weekend opportunities.

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent required.
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
• Knowledge of Outlook, internet applications, and use of office equipment.
• Must have knowledge of age-appropriate activities and enjoy working with all age groups.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with members, guests, clients, and employees.
• Excellent communication skills including strong verbal, written and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Greet members and guests in a professional and friendly manner.
• Host and engage children and families in activities, including pool activities, events, camps, and holiday events.
• Assist parents in signing their children in and out and checking identification.
• Ensure knowledge of all children’s allergies and special needs.
• Supervise children and use good judgement in our care and adhere to rules for younger members.
