Job summary

The Arena Club in Bel Air, MD is seeking a Part-Time Assistant Swim Coach to help develop swimmers of all levels under the Head Swim Coach. The role involves delivering high-quality instruction in a safe environment and supporting team management per USA Swimming guidelines.

Responsibilities include implementing practice sets, enforcing safety, and attending meets, clinics, and parent interactions. Requires at least one year coaching experience and current Lifeguarding, CPR AED, and First Aid

Qualifications

• Must have at least one year experience in coaching competitive swimming.
• Must understand how children learn and communicate clearly with them.
• Must maintain Lifeguarding, CPR with AED and First Aid certifications.

Responsibilities

• Implement planned swim practice sets.
• Enforce safety rules, perform rescue and administer first aid when necessary.
• Develop swimmers' skills with the head coach and monitor progress.
• Interact with parents at appropriate times.
• Attend and coach at swim meets.
• Attend mandatory clinics or courses for required certifications.
