Job summary

Labcorp in Rahway, NJ is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team. The role involves venipuncture, specimen collection, data entry, and delivering excellent patient service. The position supports healthcare providers across our network and may require travel to additional sites.

The schedule is Monday through Thursday 5:00pm-7:00pm and Saturday 9:00am-3:30pm, with opportunities for overtime. Prior phlebotomy experience and a certified training program are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• 1 year or more experience as a phlebotomist.
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program from an accredited agency.
• Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner.
• Process billing information and collect payments as necessary.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.
