Job summary

Hy-Vee is seeking a Pharmacy Clerk to support day-to-day pharmacy operations, assist customers, and maintain a clean, well-stocked pharmacy. The role involves handling cash, processing prescriptions, ordering supplies, and coordinating vaccine-related tasks where legally allowed.

Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma or equivalent and 6 months to 1 year of related experience. Vaccination certification may be required by law depending on duties.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Six months up to one year of similar or related experience preferred.
• Vaccination certification required if administering vaccines, as required by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide prompt, friendly customer service and greet customers by name.
• Answer the telephone promptly and take refill orders.
• Gather patient information required to prepare prescriptions.
• Stock received product and supplies and keep pharmacy supplies well stocked.
• Log invoices and complete cash transactions accurately.
• Prepare paperwork and compile medicine for delivery orders and mail-outs.
• Coordinate nursing home medicines as necessary.
• Administer vaccines as allowed by law, with required certification.
