Job summary

Hy-Vee is seeking a Pharmacy Clerk to support daily pharmacy operations, greet customers, process prescriptions, stock supplies, and handle cash transactions with integrity. You will assist in preparing medications and coordinating vaccine-related tasks where permitted, while maintaining patient confidentiality.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, 6 months to 1 year of related experience preferred, and vaccination certification if administering vaccines.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or experience.
• Six months to one year of related experience preferred.
• Vaccination certification may be required if administering vaccines.

Responsibilities

• Provide prompt, friendly customer service by greeting customers and handling inquiries.
• Answer phone calls and take refill orders with a helpful attitude.
• Gather patient information required to prepare prescriptions.
• Stock and organize pharmacy supplies and maintain a clean, orderly area.
• Process invoices and cash transactions accurately and timely.
• Prepare paperwork and assemble medicines for delivery orders and mail-outs.
• Coordinate nursing home medications as needed and assist with vaccines where permitted.
• Maintain confidentiality of patients' private medical information.
