Job summary

Hy-Vee, Inc. is seeking a Pharmacy Clerk to support daily pharmacy operations, assist customers, stock supplies, and handle cash transactions.

You will help keep the pharmacy clean, organized, and compliant with policies while maintaining patient privacy and safety. The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, up to one year of related experience, and vaccination certification if administering vaccines.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Six months up to one year of similar or related experience preferred.
• Vaccination certification required if administering vaccines, as required by law.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods in a pharmacy environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide prompt, friendly customer service by greeting customers with a smile and learning their names.
• Answer the telephone promptly and provide helpful service to customers who call.
• Stock received products and supplies and keep pharmacy areas well stocked.
• Prepare paperwork and compile medicines for delivery orders and mail-outs.
• Coordinate nursing home medicines as necessary.
• Administer vaccines as allowed by law, with required certification where applicable.
