Job summary

The Sports Facilities Companies is seeking an Events Coordinator for the Hoover Met Complex in Hoover, AL. You will assist the Events Managers and plan and execute events, delivering top-notch service and smooth operations.

You will schedule, report, bill, and coordinate staff while maintaining facilities. The role requires flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays, plus strong guest service and communication in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Must work a flexible schedule including weekends, nights, and holidays.
• Ability to work productively with a wide variety of ages.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Must have excellent guest service skills.
• Ability to maintain focus in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
• Must be detail-oriented and have outstanding organizational skills.
• Prior experience supervising part-time staff (preferred).
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.

Responsibilities

• Assist with planning and execution of events and programs at the venue.
• Provide supervision, serve as Manager on Duty (MOD) and be available to work non-traditional hours.
• Create, track, and update various reports.
• Submit weekly billing for event/rental activity.
• Provide support to managers and administrative team with phone support and correspondences.
• Manage ongoing facility schedule for local programs.
• Generate event proposals and contracts.
• Coordinate staffing for various events.
• Successfully manage and execute events in a fast-paced environment.
• Track and report maintenance and cleaning issues.
• Maintain clean and organized facilities.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
