Job summary

The University of Utah’s Utah Museum of Natural History operates with a team of Events Support Staff dedicated to set-up and tear-down for a variety of events. The role supports on-site operations during events, which occur mainly in the evenings and on weekends, with occasional daytime shifts.

Position requires physical activity including moving and lifting heavy items, strong customer service, and adherence to museum policies.

Qualifications

• Equivalency allows substitution of education for experience.
• Weekend and evenings availability REQUIRED.
• Previous event industry and customer service experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up and take down events, monitor museum locations during events.
• Assist guests, staff, caterers and vendors with service and directions.
• Attend staff meetings and participate in training on museum policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
