Job summary

Hy-Vee, Inc. is seeking a Catering Clerk in the Market Grille department to coordinate and deliver catering orders while maintaining friendly, efficient service for customers. You’ll work with the Catering Manager and be on the move, ensuring accurate orders, prompt deliveries, and a clean, organized work area.

Night and weekend shifts are required to support events and store operations. This role emphasizes food safety, teamwork, and exceptional guest experience, with opportunities to learn

Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred but not required.
• Server or food-service experience a plus.
• Ability to provide friendly customer service.

Responsibilities

• Provide prompt, friendly customer service, greeting customers with a smile, learning their names, and making every interaction a positive one.
• Deliver catering orders to customers in a prompt and efficient manner, collecting proper payment and returning it to the store.
• Handle food safely, including proper use of a temperature log, reviewing food status and appearance for freshness, and rotating all perishable product with every delivery and event.
• Assist in other areas of the store as needed and take on special projects as assigned.
• Maintain strict adherence to personal hygiene, dress standards, and all Hy-Vee policies and store guidelines.
