Job summary

MSC Industrial Supply Co. is seeking a Warehouse Associate - Receiving Clerk for the Sunday-Thursday night shift in Elkhart, IN. You will perform daily receiving tasks, inspect shipments, verify items and quantities, and ensure accurate paperwork in a fast-moving environment.

The role requires basic computer skills, a high school diploma, and certifications to operate equipment. Overtime and safety compliance are key components of the job.

Qualifications

• Basic computer skills and willingness to learn warehouse software.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Valid state driver’s license may be required for some locations.
• Willingness to work overtime to meet customer needs.
• Internal certification to drive powered equipment within specified time requirements.
• Internal certification to pick DOT-regulated items if required.
• Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 75 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Verify products and match packing slips to P.O. numbers by eye and using codes.
• Inspect boxes for damage and resolve item or purchase discrepancies.
• Create and apply bar code labels and scan into the warehouse system.
• Handle all incoming inter-warehouse transfers and moves.
• Operate basic powered equipment (pallet jack, forklift) as trained.
• Stage product for put-away, overstock, and racks.
• Follow safety guidelines and participate in Work Clean program.
